Sorry, it was posted on Imageshack and they seem to be down right now. I'll try to move the picture to another server.

Some info regarding the FA process.

QUOTE
Players are eligible for free agency after playing at least 2/3 of the games (133 innings for pitchers) in each of nine seasons. Also, if a player is registered with one of the first-league teams for more than 150 days, that also counts as a season, even if the player does not play.

Qualified players have until Monday to file for free agency and the list of players will be released Tuesday. At that point, free agents can negotiate with their own teams for 10 days (until Nov. 12) and if they fail to reach an agreement, the players can then negotiate with any team until Jan. 15. Those who remain unsigned at that point cannot play in the 2010 season.

Lotte will not resign Jon Adkins.

Kim Tae-gyun says if he does not go to Japan, he will return to Hanwha.

From what I read on the plane, Hanwha is looking to resign Bumho and Taegun,

LG is looking into resigning Petagine, but he might go to another team that needs a big bat.

I didn't see the new hats in Dongdaemun, I am going to Chamsil today and check the pro shops there.

If LG were looking into re-signing Petagine...how then, does he have any other option to sign with another KBO team? Unless of course you meant that he may sign with a Japan team looking for a big bat?

Foreigners do not have the liberty of Free Agency unless stated otherwise in their contracts...and even this instance is very rare to see. Maybe Petagine DOES have this Free Agent clause in his contract....I do not know.

If a KBO team attempts to re-sign a foreign player, and the players refuses the contract offer, or even tries to negotiate a higher salary than the one offered...legally(going by the KBO rule book) the team can declare this player un-eligible to play for ANY KBO team the following year.

The only way a foreign player can switch teams for the following season is if the current KBO team releases the player (during the season or during the off season). Then the player is declared a free agent and can negotiate with any other interested KBO team.

I just read above this post that Lotte is not going to try to re-sign Atkins. He will be eligible to sign with another KBO team.

And then again...maybe I just misread your post.

nice article in the Joongang about Thomas, Glover, and Guttormoson.

QUOTE
NPB teams send scouts to KBO games on a regular basis to evaluate domestic players nearing the end of their contracts. However, many more NPB scouts focus on evaluating overseas players in the KBO. Each KBO team carries two overseas players.

Three pitchers appear to have caught the eye of NPB scouts this season. Brad Thomas of the Hanwha Eagles, Gary Glover of the SK Wyverns and Rick Guttormson of the Kia Tigers are on the list of targeted players.

Hanwha and Doosan made a trade:

Doosan gets pitcher Jo Kyu-soo plus a player to be named later, while Hanwha picks up SS Lee Dae-soo.
